Privacy policy

The operators of events.3mag.eu take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We process your data confidentially and in line with the GDPR and this privacy policy. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally — this policy explains what we collect, how we use it and why.

Data controller

3mag Media GmbH

kontakt@3mag.eu

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides the purposes and means of processing personal data (such as names, email addresses and the like).

Revoking your consent

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time — an informal email to us is enough. The lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have far-reaching rights over the data we hold about you. You can exercise any of them free of charge by contacting us at the address above.

Right to object

Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you may object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation — including profiling. If your data is processed for direct marketing, you can object at any time and it will no longer be used for that purpose.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe the GDPR has been breached, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, workplace or the place of the alleged infringement.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive data we process on the basis of your consent or a contract in a common, machine-readable format and to have it transmitted to you or a third party where technically feasible.

Access, correction & erasure

You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin, recipients and the purpose of processing, and where applicable the right to have it corrected or erased.

Restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data — for example while you contest its accuracy, or where processing is unlawful but you prefer restriction to erasure.

SSL / TLS encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” prefix and the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.

Objection to promotional emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published in our legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.

Data collection on this website

Cookies

This site uses cookies — small files stored on your device that do no harm and contain no viruses. They make our service more user-friendly, secure and effective. You can manage your preferences at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Server log files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits — browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, IP address and the time of the request. This data is evaluated anonymously for statistics, security and to optimise the website; it is not merged with other data sources.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via a contact form, your details including the contact data you provide are stored in order to handle the enquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent, which you can revoke at any time.

Email & phone

If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry and all associated personal data are stored and processed for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

Registration on this website

When you register for the Hub you provide data such as your name and email address so we can give you access to organiser features. We use this data only to operate the service and may contact you about important changes. You can have your registration deleted at any time.

Analytics & opt-out

We run our own privacy-first analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer — this prevents the site from aggregating and analysing your actions, while also limiting our ability to build a better experience.

Please note that data transmitted over the internet (for example by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection against access by third parties is not possible.

Plugins & tools

YouTube (extended privacy mode)

We embed YouTube videos using YouTube’s extended data protection mode, which means YouTube does not store information about visitors before they play a video. Playing a video may, however, transmit data to Google. More information is available in Google’s privacy policy.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps via an API to display interactive maps. To do so, Google needs to store and process your IP address, which is transmitted to Google servers in the USA. We have no influence over this data transfer.
